Birmingham, Ala. (1/19/2023) - School Shares, a premiere software solution specifically developed to manage, digitize, and grow extracurricular program funding for schools, has been selected by Education Technology Insights Magazine as one of the Top School Management Solutions Providers of 2022. Education Technology Insights is a print and digital magazine that provides insights on educational technology and has proven itself as an apex platform for educators. Each year the publication awards ten (10) companies at the forefront of providing School Management solutions and impacting the education industry.
“Being recognized as a Top School Management Solutions Provider is such an honor and privilege for us,” says Stacy Dickerson, president of School Shares. “We believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities, and we will remain dedicated to providing our services to schools across the country to make this a reality.
Founded in 2021, the company provides schools with one eCommerce store that hosts all funding initiatives in one place, giving parents and supporters a trusted site where they can sponsor programs, buy school apparel or donate to their favorite team. School Shares offers its software without any upfront costs or contracts, showing its commitment to giving schools and teams the tools they need to raise funds while making things easier on coaches and school administrators. Many teams and clubs are underfunded, and lack resources for athletes to perform at their highest level. School Shares works with leaders of extracurricular programs who want to build a lasting legacy, solve funding problems and foster a smooth transition from year to year.
School Shares is proud to work with schools across the country and in the state of Alabama, including Minor High School (Birmingham, AL), Deshler High School (Tuscumbia, AL), Homewood High School (Homewood, AL), Vestavia Hills School District (Vestavia Hills, AL) and many more.
“School Shares has helped to simplify our 7A Athletics Department's digital footprint,” says Laura Casey, assistant athletic director for Vestavia Hills High School. “With over 60 teams (Middle School to Varsity) active on our School Shares account, our parents and supporters now have one website for all athletic-related transactions. We use School Shares for fee collection, fundraising campaigns, camp registrations, and much more.”
School Shares was also established to help local businesses in their efforts to support schools in their communities. By utilizing the software, businesses can make offers for goods or services for the school to sell in their School Shares online store, designating that a portion of each sale benefits a team or special group. The software has allowed schools, businesses, and communities to come together safely & securely.
“As we continue to grow the company, it is our mission to continue to provide solutions to schools who are in need,” says Jimmy Ogle, chief operating officer for School Shares. “It’s important to us to make sure that we provide capacity support to schools and special groups so that principals, coaches, athletic directors, and others can focus on their main goal which is to make sure that our youth continue to succeed inside and outside of the classroom.”
